Ingredients for Makhana Kheer:-

Makhana (fox nuts) – 1 cup
Milk – 1 liter
Sugar – 1/2 cup (to taste)
Ghee – 1 teaspoon
Cardamom powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Cashews, almonds, and pistachios – 2-3 pieces each (chopped, for garnishing)

Makhana Kheer Recipe:-

First, heat 1 teaspoon of ghee in a pan, then add makhana and fry it over low heat until it turns light golden.
Heat milk in a pan. Once the milk comes to a boil, slowly add the roasted makhana.
Simmer the makhana and milk over low heat for 15-20 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent the milk from sticking to the pan.

When the makhana softens and the milk thickens, add sugar and mix well.

Add cardamom powder to enhance the flavor of the kheer.
Garnish the kheer with chopped cashews, almonds, and pistachios.

Serve and enjoy the prepared makhana kheer hot or cold.
