When the Local 18 team spoke with expert Hawai Deepak Thakur, he explained that mung bean laddus are rich in protein and fiber. To make them, you need one cup of mung bean dal, one cup of fenugreek seeds, a small bowl of jaggery, one cup of dried fruits, and one teaspoon of cardamom powder. Your laddus will be ready. These laddus last for 10 to 15 days. Even diabetic patients can eat them. They are free of chemicals or sugar.
This is how to make laddus:-
If you're going to make mung bean laddus at home, soak the mung bean lentils in water the night before and let them soak for 8 hours. After soaking, grind them separately. Then, take ghee in a pan and fry the ground mung bean lentils in it. Then, fry the fenugreek seeds as well. After both are fried, add ghee, dried fruits, and cardamom powder to the mixture. Once cooled, you can make small laddus from it. Your laddus will be ready.
